A little about Miss Ross...
I am the 2nd grade teacher at MCA.
This is my 11th year teaching here at this wonderful school. My first group of kiddos are now SENIORS. Craziness!!
I started attending Monclova Road Baptist Church when I was 15. I have been able to see the church grow in all of its stages and as a result have also been around to see the school go from just a thought to now having over 200 students.
After high school I felt God call me to go to Tennessee Temple University. I feel in love with the school and the Christian atmosphere as soon as I stepped on the campus. I had wanted to attend a Christian school, but was not able to until college. I now count it an even bigger blessing to be able to teach about God and incorporated Him in all subjects matters which is something that was not apart of my childhood education.
I received my degree in Early Education and was very excited to get the call that there was an opening at MCA. It was my desire to come here and teach once I graduated.
As you noticed in my title that I am still a Miss. I have not met Mr. Right so that means I do not have any children of my own. My students are my kids. I enjoy getting to see them grow and watch them become young men and women desiring to be used of by God. I also am blessed with two of best nephews. Collin is in the Kindergarten class down the hallway. I've waited 5 years for this day. Keegan is 3 which means he will be getting ready to attend Monclova Christian Preschool next year. I look forward to the day that I get to be their teacher.
Why do I teach in a Christian school? My parents lived a party lifestyle. Thankfully at my dad's darkest hour someone told him about Jesus. I was only 4 or 5 years old, but I noticed the change in my parents once they got saved. I knew that God had to be real and that I wanted to devote my life to Him. I immediately wanted to start telling all those around me about Jesus. I am so thankful that He willingly came down to earth to die on that cross for ME (and the rest of the world). Thankfully, He didn't stay dead, but rose again the 3rd day. Now He is up in Heaven getting it ready for all of us who believe that He is the only way. I am so thankful that He is willing to forgive me of all my sins. I'm also glad that I got saved at such a young age so I didn't have to make those mistakes that my parents made, but rather I could try to live my life with no regrets. If you don't have a Bible, thankfully we live in a technological world where we can get it on an app or buy it at the Dollar Store. I know that without a shadow of a doubt that God is real because I have seen the way He has changed my life and been there for me through hard times.
